    The Fabulous Fable Factory follows a curious youngster who accidentally awakens the long-quiet magical storytelling machine owned by none other than Mr. Aloysius A. Aesop. This timeless and timely tale reminds audiences of all ages that knowing the moral of the story is both enlightening and empowering.

  2. ARIEL COMMUNITY SHOW IS BACK – JOIN THE CAST OF FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

    We are thrilled to bring Fiddler on the Roof back to the ARIEL stage this August! However, one thing is missing…..YOU! Join the cast and fill your summer with music, memories, and the excitement of live theatre.

    You don’t have to be a “Rich Man” to participate. Registration fee is by donation – pay what you can. The cast is open to teens (14 & up) and adults, and children ages 8-13 may participate with an adult family member or older teen sibling – families can perform together! Fiddler was recognized as the longest running Broadway show during the height of its popularity and still remains in the top twenty. With timeless and timely themes of tradition, faith and family, Fiddler on the Roof will bring friends and neighbors together to strengthen community bonds and celebrate the challenges and joys of life.

  3. THE HEART OF ARIEL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS OPEN TODAY!

    ARIEL Theatrical is pleased to announce that beginning February 14, applications for the 2023 Heart of ARIEL Scholarship will be accepted. The deadline to submit is 11:59 pm on Friday, April 14, 2023. This scholarship is made possible by a generous donor who understands the importance of volunteer service and the benefits of engaging in service activities, especially in the healthy development of young people.     ARIEL Theatrical invites participants ages 7 and up to join the cast of The Fabulous Fable Factory. Timeless and timely, this fantastical musical follows a young person who discovers a factory where the wisdom of Aesop springs to life! Jump on stage and be part of the adventure with some of Aesop’s most well-known creatures including the Tortoise and the Hare, the Ant and the Grasshopper, and many more!

    In addition to the performance programs, ARIEL will offer two sessions of our day-time class (The Play’s the Thing) for home schooled children, grades K-12 along with off-site theatre programs at elementary schools throughout Monterey County.

    A Christmas Carol: The Musical, is a heartwarming adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story. Coming back to the stage are several key players who will reprise roles from the 2020 Radio Drama version that ARIEL streamed as a gift to the community during the pandemic. Audiences will now get a chance to see the story unfold, live on the ARIEL stage!

    An otherworldly wake-up call comes when Scrooge’s life is interrupted by three well-meaning ghosts who reveal pivotal details of the past, present and future. Community cast members of all ages will breathe life into the Dickensian streets and lay the foundation from which the three spirits will teach transformative lessons to a very reluctant student…..and to all of us, every one.

    PERFORMANCES: December 2, 3, 9, 10, 15 & 16; Thursday and Fridays at 7 pm, Saturdays at 2 & 7 pm

    One of literature’s most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is coming to the stage at ARIEL Theatrical — glasses, stubbornness and all. Meg is joining forces with a trio of otherworldly beings, her gifted brother Charles Wallace, the school athlete Calvin O’Keefe, and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity and find herself. Madeleine L’Engle’s powerful story of family, friendship and courage, even in the darkest of hours, will captivate audiences of all ages. In the end, we know two things for sure: Love CAN overcome evil, and there IS such a thing as a tesseract.

  10. Christmas comes early to ARIEL – $1 registration fee for A Christmas Carol

    The only “bah humbug” you’ll hear at ARIEL Theatrical will be from the one and only, Ebenezer Scrooge. ARIEL is pleased to announce that an unexpected financial gift recently received will be shared with the community by “paying it forward.” The participation fee for the upcoming production of A Christmas Carol will be reduced from $100 to only $1!  That’s right, only $1! Adults and teens ages 14+ are invited to be part of the cast to tell the classic story of the quintessential miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, and the life-altering lessons he learns from three other-worldly beings. Young people ages 7-13 may participate in the children’s chorus only with an enrolled family member (age 14+).

    Rehearsals begin on Saturday, October 8 and run Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm. Please note – not all cast members are called to every rehearsal.
