WONDERLAND! 2026

As Alice traverses the Wonderland chess board she encounters some curious characters including the Red Queen, Humpty Dumpty and Tweedledum and Tweedledee, while learning important lessons in patience, persistence and accountability.

AGES: 8 and Up

In order to ensure age distribution to meet the requirements of the script, registration for younger participants may be capped. Adults may be considered for age-specific roles.

TUITION: $400

If paying with a charter school purchase order a $25 fee will be added to cover the extra administrative time for charter school invoicing.

ACTING BASICS: CREATING YOUR CHARACTER

REGISTRATION CLOSED

Join us for our first workshop of the season! This three-hour program focuses on creating a character and building its physical traits. This is an extremely useful skill for all actors to develop to bring a scene to life onstage. We will break into age groups to practice pulling details from a story to inform our character choices, creating a character body, and playing some new theater games! Join your ARIEL friends for a fun night of skill building on Monday, February 23. Many thanks to the Arts Council for Monterey County for their support of this program!

Adapted from the classic Grimm Brothers tale, this doo-wop version puts a 1950’s spin on the drama that unfolds between the well intentioned Little Red Riding Hood, the calculating wolf, the unsuspecting Granny and all of the woodland creatures that provide commentary on the events as they unfold on stage.

This original adaptation of the famous Hans Christian Andersen story features a nefarious plot, a counter-plot, and intrigue as two teenage apprentice weavers infiltrate the palace and encounter an “unexpected little twist.”  The entire community joins in to bring about a surprising and satisfying resolution.

MAGICAL MINI-CAMP

PROGRAM CLOSED

Don’t just wish upon a star, join us for a two-session mini-camp filled with fun, friends and a little bit of magic. Participants will learn the music to some of their favorite songs like Let it Go and Under the Sea while practicing their singing and dancing skills, and creating memories with friends. Register Wednesday, February 4 to be part of this season’s first sing-along mini-camp! And remember, dreams come true at ARIEL! Many thanks to the Arts Council for Monterey County for their support of this program!
